Original early Bellevue chair, designed by André Bloc circa 1951 and named after his house in Meudon, France. This is a rare item, as only a few chairs were produced.
Bloc was a sculptor and greatly inspired by his contemporaries Jean Arp and Fernand Léger, incorporating sinuous lines into his designs.
The chair is constructed from a curved single piece of birch plywood supported on a black painted tubular steel frame.
