Kay Bojesen, Vintage Early Large Monkey, teak and limba wood, stamped, 1950s

This is a vintage early example of the largest production monkey, designed by Kay Bojesen in 1951. Constructed from teak and limba wood, the joints are articulated allowing the monkey to be placed in different positions or suspended. This original example has flat head screws indicating it is one of the earlier models. The underside bears the maker’s stamp.

60cm high when fully extended, 49cm wide, 12cm deep.
