Set of Marcel Breuer designed iconic Nesting Tables, originally designed by Breuer in 1936. These tables are unmarked but likely to have been made by Isokon circa 1950.
The tables are constructed from bent and formed Beech plywood, the largest measuring 61cm wide, 46cm deep, 38cm high.
Marcel Lajos Breuer (1902–1981) was a Hungarian-born modernist, architect and furniture designer and the skills he developed in the carpentry shop at the Bauhaus made him one of the world’s most popular architects of 20th Century design.
