Original versions of this lamp have a heavy stepped granite base set on rubber footpads , as is the case here , the formed granite supports a stepped brass rod to which is attached a frosted glass dome on brass framework which can be height adjustted by means of a serated wheel mechanism inside the lower part , as shown . A large metallic painted shade sits atop the glass . Inside are 3 lamp holders .

This is a monumental lamp and would work equally on a table or the floor . 109 cm high , shade diameter 58cm .
