Very rare large size ‘Bidone’ adjustable wall light, model LP10, designed by Luigi Caccia Dominioni and manufactured by Azucena, 1950s
Long opaline glass shade suspended from a brass collar, curved arm and backplate. There is a rotating serrated knob which allows the arm to be raised and lowered as required, and the arm can be swung to each side.
The backplate bears the stamp for AZUCENA.

Luigi Caccia Dominioni (1913-2016) was a renowned Italian architect, urban planner, and designer, celebrated for his influential contributions to modern architecture and design in post-war Italy. In 1947, he co-founded the influential and successful furniture manufacturer Azucena, where he went on to design and produce a selection of lighting and furniture, some of which won the most prestigious awards of the time.
