Time Life stool, model C, designed by Ray Eames as part of a commission for the Time Life Building in Manhattan, New York in 1960.
Constructed in turned solid walnut, three versions of the stool were designed of which this is version C. Marketed by Herman Miller as tables, the concave top allows them to be used also as seating. The sculptural design resembles an hour glass sand timer.
These stools were never stamped, but the chamfered edge to the top and quality/age of the wood indicates that they are original vintage productions.
Price is per stool.
