Ennio Lucini, Cespuglio Lamp, 1970s for DH Guzzini
This beautiful table light was designed in 1970 by Ennio Lucini and manufactured by DH Guzzini. It is constructed from 16 serrated white acrylic fins which slot into a painted aluminium base holding the bulb. The result is a three-dimensional light resembling a piece of coral or anemone. Lucini named the lamp Cespuglio, which translates as Bush in English. It has also been described as “a desk-cloud, a ghost in the jar” (A. Morello in the book Light: Lamps 1968-1973 by Fulvio and Napoleone Ferrari).
The lamp has been rewired to conform with modern safety requirements.
