Filippo Panseca for Arteluce, Articulated Desk Light, 1960s.
The design comprises a clear perspex block with articulated aluminium arm and shade. Both the arm and the shade adjust independently to shine and diffuse light as required.
Interior of shade bears Arteluce label (see image).
An excellent example of the radical innovations of Italian designers in the 1960s.
The perspex block measures 20cm high, 10cm wide, 8.5cm deep – the arm and shade can be moved to a variety of heights.
