A set of rare stacking stools designed by Michel Péclard in 1960 and manufactured by Horgen Glarus in Switzerland. A friend of the sculptors Jean Tinguely and Niki de Saint Phalle, Péclard was a respected graphic designer but this was his sole creation in the field of furniture.

The set of three stools, each contructed from three moulded plywood sections, are stackable. There has been light restoration and refinishing to return them to their original beauty, but there are still a few knocks and losses as expected in functional items of this age.
