Gio Ponti, Wall Light, from the Villa Goldschmidt, Buenos Aires, circa 1957

This very rare wall light was designed by Gio Ponti circa 1957, produced by Arredoluce, Monza and hung in the Villa Goldschmidt, Buenos Aires, Argentina. An identical example is to be found in the Villa Planchart in Caracas, Venezuela.

The white acrylic shade, covering five bulb holders, is mounted on a frame of lacquered metal and brass which screws flat against the wall. The base bears the original Arredoluce sticker.

The light is accompanied by a certificate from the Gio Ponti Archives, confirming authenticity.
