Stunning “Double Helix” sideboard by Gordon Russell of Broadway, from an original design by David Booth and Judith Ledeboer, 1951 which was exhibited at the Festival of Britain. The design was an immediate success and continued to be manufactured by Gordon Russell. Accompanying this cabinet is an original early 1950s Gordon Russell Ltd leaflet with one shown on the front page, and details inside describing the piece as being in “…mahogany, with top and ends veneered sapele, door fronts veneered in Bombay rosewood, recessed to show the white birch below.”

The beautifully grained doors enclose an arrangement of shelves and pull-out cutlery drawer.
