Pair of extremely rare desk/table lights by Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce, 1960s.

The black enamelled textured base supports the bulb holder while the pivoting white upper section acts as the light modulator by rotating at 180 degrees via two small rivets attaching it to the base. The shade can be left to rest in any position. Both lamps are labelled to the underside of the op of the shade and are in completely original condition.

These were probably designed circa 1960, as they show similarity to model 594 (shown in the final image). They appear to be extremely rare, as we have not found any other examples sold in auctions or elsewhere.
