Barcelona Daybed, designed by Mies van Der Rohe for the German Pavilion at the 1929 International Exposition in Barcelona.

The collection of furniture he created was received with great acclaim and continues to be manufactured to this day by Knoll. This example bears a Knoll International label from their address at 745 Fifth Avenue, New York, which dates it to the early 1970s.

The chocolate brown leather to the mattress and bolster cushion is in good original condition, as are the walnut frame, leather straps and chrome legs. The upholstery seams and buttons are hand stitched.
