Tapio Wirkkala for Idman, Finland. A model K10-11 floor lamp, 1950s.
Domed foot supports two brass rods which articulate at the point of intersection , an ingenious lever mechanism means the light source can be angled, height adjusted, slid back and foward, and rotated. Pretty much any direction can be achieved and the shade itself also pivots at point of connection. The lamp is stamped “Idman” to the lever mechanism and the shade mechanism.
In good working order but local rewiring may be required prior to use.
Height: 107cm, approximately 90cm wide, base diameter 20cm
